Give each page a clear job
Write down the decision the page supports and the customer question it answers. A service page should explain the audience, scope, required inputs and way to engage. A product page should resolve product-specific choices. An article should develop a useful question and connect it to the relevant next step. Publishing many slightly different versions of the same answer makes the site harder to maintain and does little to clarify the business.
Check the actual public response
Inspect the published URL, status code, canonical, robots directives, readable page content and links from the rest of the site. A sitemap is a discovery aid, not proof of indexing. Google says its normal SEO foundations apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode: eligible supporting pages need to be indexed and available for snippets. It does not require a special AI schema or new AI text file. Hosting and CDN rules should be checked as well as the page itself.
Make claims attributable
Use specific descriptions of what the company does and avoid unsupported credentials, invented locations or fictional experts. Put authorship, publication and material update dates where readers can see them. Link factual platform claims to their primary sources and keep structured data consistent with the visible page. A clear answer earns its usefulness through the substance and evidence; repeating a target phrase in every heading is no substitute.
Distinguish crawler access from visibility
OpenAI’s publisher guidance identifies OAI-SearchBot as a control for inclusion in ChatGPT summaries and snippets. Verify access through the relevant hosting configuration; do not equate access with a citation or confuse search crawling with training permissions. Record any observed AI citation with the engine, prompt, date and exact source URL. An answer can vary by query and context, so one screenshot is not a stable ranking report.
Connect discovery to a commercial review
Group search queries and pages by customer intent, then review relevant visits and qualified inquiries or purchases where measurement permits. Keep legacy topic traffic separate from current agency demand. SOCELLE’s search scope combines technical corrections, content architecture and an evidence-based review cadence. Bring Search Console access, current URLs, product or service facts and known migration history. Indexing and citations remain engine decisions; the implementation should make the content eligible, coherent and useful.
The working checklist
- Accessible canonical pages with crawlable internal links
- Specific business, service and product facts
- Visible authorship, dates and primary sources
