Start at the destination
Follow the route a first-time customer will take. What is the product, why does it belong in their life, how can they choose the right option, and what happens after purchase? A beautiful announcement cannot answer a missing product page. Write the information the customer needs before deciding how many assets to commission.
Separate expression from evidence
Positioning and art direction express the brand. Product claims need support of their own. Keep an approved facts sheet alongside the creative brief: ingredients or materials, dimensions, instructions, availability and any substantiated performance statements. A change to a claim should reach packaging, product pages, paid creative and customer communications together.
Commission a useful body of work
Define the master idea, then list where the assets will appear. Product pages, paid social, email and retail may need different crops, durations and information. Confirm usage, territory, term and talent permissions before production. The useful deliverable is an approved asset system with a clear purpose, not just a folder of beautiful files.
Plan the second conversation
The launch should connect to a customer journey. Decide who answers questions, what the welcome or post-purchase experience contains, and which communications are optional marketing. Review the current data and consent arrangements before adding a new tool or uploading a list.
Define readiness before defining uplift
Use a short release checklist: approved facts and assets; usable mobile purchase path; accurate delivery and returns information; measurement and consent behavior checked; an owner for customer response. Then establish the performance baseline. Revenue, repeat purchase and brand response depend on more than the creative launch, so name the attribution limits in the review.
A working brief
Bring the product range, target audience, priority market, sales channel, current assets, intended release date and the decision makers. The first planning discussion should reveal the dependencies and the work worth buying, rather than add a service to every possible channel.
